Before we approve your transaction, we may send you an email asking you to verify your payment card, if we haven’t already done so. We go through this process sometimes to make sure our customers stay safe!
There are three ways we can ask you to verify your payment card:
Card verification with selfie
The email will ask you to upload a selfie of you holding your card, clearly showing the first 6 and last 4 digits of the card number and hiding the middle digits, as well as your full name on the card.
So we can process your verification quickly, please make sure your face and payment card are clearly visible in the selfie
Card verification with bank statement code
The email will ask you to upload a four-digit code that you can find on your bank statement, next to the pending charge from MoonPay.
Micro-authorisations
Micro-authorisations are temporary, small charges that merchants use to verify customer's card. The charge visible in your bank statement will not be claimed by the merchant and will be released back to your available balance within a day or two.
