What can affect delivery times?
MoonPay works to process every order as quickly as possible. However, delays can sometimes happen for the reasons below.
Bank transfer issues
If you’re paying by bank transfer, incorrect details can slow things down.
Make sure you’re using the correct MoonPay bank details
Always include your reference code, which helps us match your payment faster
If details are incorrect, your bank may reject and return the transfer, which can take additional time
Bank processing schedules
Bank transfers may take longer if they’re sent outside normal banking hours.
Payments made on weekends or bank holidays may not be processed until the next business day
Extra verification
Some purchases require additional verification before completion.
If verification is needed, we’ll notify you by email
You can also check your order status in the transaction tracker on the MoonPay app
Delays often occur if verification steps aren’t completed promptly
Tip: Keep an eye on both your inbox and your transaction tracker to avoid unnecessary delays.
Network and blockchain delays
Crypto transactions rely on blockchain networks, which can sometimes slow down.
High network traffic can delay confirmations
When this happens, MoonPay processes your order as soon as the network allows
Unsupported bank transfers
Important: MoonPay currently can’t accept transfers from WISE or C24 Bank GMBH. If you try to use these banks, your transfer may fail or be returned. We recommend using a different bank account while we work on supporting these methods in the future.
How to track your order
You can track your purchase at any time in the MoonPay app.
Open the app and go to Activity tab
Select your order to view real-time updates in the transaction tracker
The tracker shows where your order is in the process and whether any action is needed from you.
Summary
Most MoonPay crypto purchases are completed quickly, especially for card and digital wallet payments. Bank transfers and blockchain activity can take longer, but delays are usually resolved once payment details, verification, or network conditions are cleared.
If your order is still in progress, the transaction tracker is the best place to check what’s happening next.
