How to manage my MoonPay account?

MoonPay account
A MoonPay account is essential for using the MoonPay platform. Creating this account allows you to create a MoonPay wallet to manage and facilitate transactions, ensuring a smooth experience. However, it's important to note that not all MoonPay accounts come with the MoonPay wallet features.
Change username
You can change your account username in the Mobile app only, so make sure to download the MoonPay mobile app to proceed.
- Login to your MoonPay app
- Click the edit button.
- Enter your new username and click Save.
Recent activity
In your Trade History on MoonPay, you can see all your transactions—both the ones that are ongoing and the ones that are completed, whether you're buying or selling. You can also download your transaction history as a CSV file using the
Trade History feature.
Web browser
- Visit moonpay.com/buy.
- Click on the hamburger icon ( ≡ ) on the top right corner of the widget.
- Click Trade History on the Menu page.
Mobile app
- Login to your MoonPay app.
- Click on "View all”.
- Click on a transaction to see the transaction details.
Add or remove a card
You can add or remove a card from your MoonPay wallet account anytime. However, please be sure to have another payment method to your account when removing a card to perform buy and swap.
Add a new card
You can only add a new card while buying through our widget. You can navigate to your payment methods during order
confirmation. Then, click “Add a payment method” and choose the one you want to add.
If you have cards from 12 different banks, you may have trouble using a new card from a new bank. Please use one of your existing cards if you can't make payments with the new card.
If you're having trouble adding a card to your account, contact our support team for help. We’ll need you to provide the
last four digits of the card you’re trying to add.
Remove a card
- Visit moonpay.com/buy.
- Click on the hamburger icon ( ≡ ).
- Click "Settings".
- Click Payment methods.
- Click the trash icon ( 🗑 ) to remove the payment method.
- Click Confirm, and a confirmation message will appear.
Note:
You won't be able to remove a card from your account until any pending transactions are completed or canceled. Don't hesitate to contact us through our support channels if you need assistance.

Change default currency
You can change your account's default currency to adjust to your needs.
Web browser
- Navigate to moonpay.com/buy and log into your MoonPay account.
- Click on your profile in the top right corner.
- Select Settings.
- Click the Change currency option and choose the default currency from the list of available countries.
Mobile app
- Log into your account.
- Click on your gear icon (⛭) in the top right corner.
- Select the Default currency button.
- Select the default currency based on the list of countries.
Note:

Language
You can also change the default language for your MoonPay account based on your needs.
Note:
You can only change the language through the MoonPay account website.
- Login to account.moonpay.com.
- Click on your profile and click Settings.
- Click the dropdown button on the Change Language section.
- Select the default language based on the list of languages.
Delete my account
Deleting your MoonPay account only takes a few steps. Remember, your secret phrase is used in MoonPay to make a self-custody wallet. You can still access your wallet using the same email address for another MoonPay account.
Note:
The account’s data will be deleted and can no longer be recovered.
Web browser
- Visit moonpay.com/buy.
- Click on the hamburger icon ( ≡ ) on the top right corner of the widget.
- Click "Settings".
- Click Delete account.
- Enter your reason and fill out the feedback form.
- Click "Delete account" to confirm this action.
Note:
Feel free to use the same email for a new account later on. You can't delete your account until any ongoing transactions are done or cancelled. Don't hesitate to contact us through our support channels if you
need assistance.
Mobile app
- Login to your MoonPay app.
- Click the gear icon (⛭) on the top right of your screen.
- Click on the Delete my account button.
- Click the button again to confirm the deletion of your account.
How do I change my account's personal information?
You should update some of your personal information for a specific reason. However, there are several requirements and restrictions that you should be aware of. For each personal data, here are the details:
Name changes
You may have made any legal name changes after your account was verified. In this case, supporting documentation is required to prove it. If your account hasn't been verified yet, you need to explain why the name change is necessary.
Email address changes
Unfortunately, it is not possible to change your email address. It's one of the unique identifiers that help our system recognize you. If it is no longer accessible, please register a new account using a different email address.
Phone number changes
Unfortunately, it is not possible to change your phone number. It's one of the unique identifiers that help our system recognize you. If it is no longer accessible, please register a new account using a different phone number.
Residential address changes
Unfortunately, it is not possible to change your residential address. If it is incorrect, please register a new account using a different email address.
