Partner Account Review: what it is and what to expect

What happens during Account Review, why it matters, and what you can do while you wait.

Overview


After you submit your project details, your account goes into Account Review. This is the stage where we get to know your business and confirm it's a good fit for the MoonPay products you've chosen. It happens before Business Verification, and it applies to every partner across all our products.

This article explains what Account Review looks at, what you'll hear from us, and what (if anything) you need to do.

What Account Review checks


Account Review looks at the information you provided when you submitted your project details — things like your industry, the countries you operate in, your business model, and the products you want to use. The goal is simple: to make sure MoonPay is the right fit for what you're building, and that we can support your business in the regions and products you've selected.

You don't need to submit anything extra for this stage. It runs on the details you've already shared.

What you'll hear from us


We'll keep you posted by email:

  • "We're reviewing your account" arrives when your review begins. No action needed — we're on it

  • "Great news! Your account review is complete" arrives once you're approved to move forward. It includes a Continue onboarding button that takes you to the next stage, Business Verification

Note: While your account is in review, there's nothing you need to do. You're welcome to keep exploring the dashboard and testing with your test API keys in the meantime.

What happens after approval


Once your account review is complete, you'll move on to Business Verification (KYB) — where we verify your company's legal documents. From there, you'll configure your products and go live. See Business Verification (KYB) for partners: documents and what to expect for what comes next.

Do I need to do anything during Account Review?

No. Account Review runs on the details you submitted with your project. We'll email you when it's complete.

What's the difference between Account Review and Business Verification?

Account Review confirms your business is a good fit for the products you've chosen. Business Verification (KYB) then verifies your company's legal documents. Account Review comes first.

Can I keep working while I wait?

Yes. You can explore the dashboard and test your integration using your test API keys at any time, even before approval.

Where to get help


If you have a question about your account while it's in review, just ask Nova — our AI assistant, right there in your dashboard. Nova gives instant answers to most questions, and if it can't resolve something on its own, it'll create a support request and pass it to our partner support team for you.
