Source of Wealth requirements for Virtual Accounts

Which documents to submit based on where your funds come from, and what makes them valid.

Overview

Source of wealth (SOW) verification confirms where the funds you'll use with your MoonPay Enterprise Virtual Account come from. It's required to remove MoonPay Enterprise's standard transaction limit, and as part of Enhanced Due Diligence (EDD).

For the full verification process, see Verification requirements for Virtual Accounts.

Document requirements

Whichever document you submit, it must show:

FAQs

Why do I need to prove my source of wealth?

It's a regulatory requirement for MoonPay Enterprise to verify where your funds come from — either because you're raising your transaction limit or completing Enhanced Due Diligence (EDD).

Can I combine multiple sources of wealth?

Yes. Submit the accepted document for each source that applies to you.

My crypto platform doesn't show my name — what should I do?

Submit a bank statement showing 2 transactions with that platform alongside your screenshot.

What if my document is older than the validity window?

Request an updated copy from the issuing institution — MoonPay Enterprise can't accept expired documents.
