Overview
To use a MoonPay Enterprise Virtual Account, you may need to submit proof of address (POA) as part of your identity verification. This article covers when it's required, which documents MoonPay Enterprise accepts, and what makes a document valid.
For the full verification process, see Verification requirements for Virtual Accounts.
When you'll be asked for proof of address
Proof of address isn't always required. You'll be asked for it if any of the following apply:
Your ID document was issued by a different country to where you live (this doesn't apply to EU citizens)
Your residence permit doesn't show an address, or the address doesn't match what you provided
You're based in, or connecting from, a higher-risk jurisdiction
You're completing Enhanced Due Diligence (EDD), or verifying for MoonPay Enterprise's higher transaction tier
Note: If none of these apply to you, you may be able to complete verification without submitting proof of address.
Accepted documents
Any of the following are accepted, as long as they were issued within the last 3 months:
Utility bill (electricity, gas, internet, or landline)
Water bill
Bank or credit card statement
Tax invoice
Mortgage statement
Certificate of voter registration
Signed, current lease agreement

Other government-issued document showing your residential address
Tip: Payslips aren't accepted for proof of address, but they are accepted as proof of source of wealth.
What makes a document valid
Your document must:
Show your full name and complete residential address (PO boxes aren't accepted)
Show the name of the issuing entity and the date it was issued
Be fully visible, submitted as an original photo or PDF
Not accepted: government-issued ID (like a driver's license), screenshots, spreadsheets, medical bills, or insurance statements.
