Which assets and networks does my MoonPay account support?

  • Bitcoin (BTC)

  • XRP Ledger (XRP)

  • Solana (SOL)

  • TRON (TRX) — including Tether (USDT-TRC20)

  • EVM chains — Ethereum Mainnet, BNB Chain, zkSync Era, Arbitrum, Optimism, Polygon, and Base

How do I sell crypto from my MoonPay account?

You can sell ETH, XRP, TRX, SOL and BTC directly from the MoonPay app. To do this:

  1. Log in to MoonPay

  2. Tap Sell

  3. Choose the asset you want to sell

  4. Enter the amount and tap Continue

  5. Select your payout method

  6. Review details and tap Sell now →

  7. Send your crypto to the wallet address provided

Note:

  • Selling ERC-20 tokens requires native ETH in your wallet to cover network fees

  • This feature is currently available only in the MoonPay mobile app

How can I see my balance in a different currency?

Most crypto trading is in US dollars, but you might want to know how the amounts convert in your local currency. To help you do this, you can view your account balance in any of the currencies MoonPay supports.

To change the currency view:

  1. Open Account settings

  2. Select Change default currency

  3. Choose your preferred currency from the list

Note: Changing your default currency updates all activity in your account to display in that currency.

Where can I see my transaction activity?

MoonPay doesn’t currently display onchain activity in your account. You can view it directly on the blockchain:

  1. Copy your wallet address from MoonPay

  2. Go to the blockchain explorer for the token you want to check:

    • BTC

    • ETH

    • SOL

    • XRP

    • TRX

  3. Paste your wallet address into the search bar

  4. View your transaction history

What are the network fees for sending crypto in the MoonPay account?

When you send crypto from your MoonPay account, you’ll need to pay a network fee. There are three types of network fee to choose from — Standard, Fast, and Urgent.

You’ll need to pick one of these every time you make a trade.

A Standard network fee is the cheapest option. But at busier times, transactions made with Standard fees might take longer to process on the blockchain.

An Urgent network fee is more expensive and usually means your trade will be processed faster. But ultimately, how fast your transaction completes depends on network conditions.

You’ll always see the full cost of fees upfront, before you make your trade. The way we apply the fee differs depending on whether you’re sending BTC, ETH, XRP or SOL:

  • BTC: The fee is in BTC

  • ETH & ERC-20: The fee is in ETH or the native ETH for that chain

  • SOL: The fee is in SOL

  • XRP: The fee is in XRP

  • TRX: The fee is in TRX

Note: Make sure you have enough of the native token (BTC, TRX, ETH, XRP, or SOL) in your MoonPay account to cover the cost of network fees.

Where do I see my balance for BNB?

  1. Open the MoonPay app and sign in

  2. Go to the Portfolio screen

  3. Tap Wallets to see all wallets linked to your account

  4. Tap Ethereum to open your Ethereum wallet

  5. Your BNB/BEP-20 tokens will show up in your MoonPay Ethereum account, as it's an EVM wallet address

Can I receive BNB into my MoonPay Ethereum wallet address?

Yes, if you're using a MoonPay wallet, you can receive BNB at an Ethereum-style address. This is because MoonPay wallets are EVM-compatible, meaning they support multiple tokens (like BNB) across EVM chains, even if the address format appears the same as Ethereum.

However, if you're using an external Ethereum-only wallet that doesn't support BNB or the BNB Smart Chain (BSC), sending BNB there could result in lost funds.

Always check whether your wallet is EVM-compatible and supports BNB before transferring.
