This feature uses your MoonPay Balance to securely, seamlessly, and reliably stick to your buy strategy without manual transactions.

How to set up a Recurring Buy
Note: You’ll need an active MoonPay Balance account with sufficient funds.
Sign in to your MoonPay app
Select the asset you want to buy and tap Top up
Enter the purchase amount
Select the One-time buy dropdown at the top of the screen, then Recurring buy
Choose your purchase frequency (weekly, monthly, or twice a month)
Tap Pay now and confirm
You’ll receive an email confirming your recurring buy has been scheduled.
Important:
Recurring buys can only be funded from your MoonPay Balance
The currency purchased must match your balance currency
The wallet address you provide at setup will be used for all future recurring transactions. To change it, cancel the recurring buy and set up a new one
How Recurring Buys work
Your first purchase is made immediately
Future purchases occur on your selected schedule (e.g., weekly on the same weekday as the first buy)
Buys are processed around the same time of day as the first transaction
Scheduling details
Recurring buys are for a specific fiat amount (e.g., $1,000 worth of ETH), not a crypto quantity
Buys continue until you cancel
You can set up multiple recurring buys for any combination of tokens, amounts, and schedules
Crypto can be sent directly to a partner wallet
Payment methods
Recurring buys are only available when paying with your MoonPay Balance.

Supported cryptocurrencies
You can set up a recurring buy for any supported cryptocurrency in your region.
The minimum spend is $20 USD.
Recurring Buy troubleshooting
If your balance is too low
If you don’t have enough funds:
You’ll get an email reminder to top up.
If still insufficient, the buy is skipped and retried on the next scheduled date.
Top-up options:
US – ACH transfer, Venmo, PayPal
UK/EU – Open Banking, PayPal, Faster Payments
If your recurring buy fails
Insufficient funds – Buy is skipped and retried on the next date.
Other reasons – Payment is refunded to your MoonPay balance, and the recurring buy is canceled.
How to cancel a Recurring Buy
Tap the Settings icon
Tap Recurring transactions
Select the recurring buy to cancel
Tap the menu (⋮) in the top-right corner and choose Cancel
You can also manage recurring buys at: buy.moonpay.com/v2/recurring
Important: Cancel at least 1 day before the scheduled buy to avoid being charged.
