Domain review during the onboarding process

Learn how to prepare your domain for review during onboarding, including required details, legal pages, and setup tips.

Updated over 2 weeks ago

If you’re going through onboarding and need help with domain verification, this guide will walk you through what to expect.

As part of your onboarding with MoonPay, we’ll need to review your website. This step is essential to ensure that your project and its domain meet our requirements to move forward with the onboarding process.

Sharing your domain details to get started

At the start of onboarding, you’ll be asked to share some key details about your project. These details help us understand your business better and ensure everything is set up correctly from the beginning.

You’ll need to provide:

  • Your domain (website address) – so we can verify your official site.

  • Relevant legal pages – such as your Terms of Service or Privacy Policy, which show how you protect and inform your users.

  • Your social media accounts – to help us confirm your online presence.

All of this information is collected through the initial questionnaire when you begin onboarding. Supplying it correctly helps us move smoothly into the next steps of the process.

Tip: For more guidance, please visit our KYB troubleshooting article.

Getting your website ready for review

To successfully complete the review of your website, please make sure your domain meets the following requirements:

  • Your website must be live and publicly accessible – it cannot be behind a login or restricted area

  • It should be fully functional, showing clear details about your services and all the features you offer to users

  • All pages and links must work properly, so we can access and review the full scope of your website

  • Legal pages must be available and complete, including a Privacy Policy and Terms & Conditions that provide detailed information about your business

These steps help us verify your project smoothly and move forward in the onboarding process without delays.

Important: The legal entity going through the KYB process must be the same entity directly connected to your domain. Please make sure this information is clearly available on your website footer and legal pages.

Why your website review may be delayed or rejected

Here are some of the most common issues that can cause delays or rejection during the website review:

  • Website not loading or inaccessible – All pages on your domain must be publicly accessible without a password

  • Website under construction or incomplete – We can only review fully functional websites, so please ensure your site is complete before submitting

  • Information mismatch – The domain ownership must align with the legal entity provided in your KYB application. We review the documentation to confirm this match
